Our longest drive

We had a very long day on the bus today (400 miles from Orinda to Claremont), but another lunch stop at In-n-Out and warmer weather in the Southland helped the guys rally for a great performance in the acoustically wonderful Bridges Hall of Music at my alma mater, Pomona College.

Pomona's Music Department kindly hosted us for dinner in Frary Dining Hall, the oldest on campus. Frary has a famous fresco of Prometheus by Jose Clemente Orozco that dominates the room, though several of the guys thought the room looked a bit like the great hall at Hogwarts.

Though we had no Glee Club alumni at our concert tonight, we had a great crowd of enthusiastic locals. We sang the Biebl Ave Maria with the trio aloft in a balcony, which was a nice change. The guys also indulged me by learning Pomona's great song for men's chorus, Torchbearers, which we sang with Pomona's oldest a cappella group, the Men's Blue and White.

We're off to Las Vegas in the morning, so keep those prayers coming our way. ;-)
